At Meals on Wheels of Sonoma, the meals we make for our clients
are a labor of dedicated service in many different areas, outlined below.
Procurement
The food for our meals is sourced from a number of different places.

Our meals are prepared and cooked Monday - Friday by 5 different crews of different "flavors"!

Meals are delivered to clients each weekday by a crew of drivers for 6 different routes in the valley.

In 2021, your donations helped us to:

Continue to serve our clientele during a global pandemic by changing from a reusable tray delivery system to single-use compostable or recyclable meal containers. This change tripled our annual meal container cost, but it made it safer for clients and drivers by helping to minimize physical contact.

Pay a multitude of expenses required in the running of Sonoma Meals on Wheels (rent, utilities, food, supplies, etc.)

Acquire 2 refrigerators to replace the 3 older refrigerators in our kitchen
In 2022, we look forward to replacing older freezers in our pantry, purchasing new kitchen equipment (commercial-grade small appliances), continuing to build an online presence with experienced web professionals, just to name a few of the items on our "wish list."
